Hi all,
Recently when I tried to watch Justin.tv, the audio works fine but the video is just a black screen. So I google around and this seems to be a flash player 10 problem...and I am pretty sure that is the flash player 10 issue for linux x86_64 version because I installed flash player 9 on epiphany and Justin.tv works fine...
I am just wondering if there's a fixed for flash player 10 for this issue already?
I guess meanwhile I'll use flash player 9 to watch...
Thanks!
Some information about my system:
OS: Linux Ubuntu 8.04 amd64
Browser: Firefox 3.0.15
Flash player version: 10.0 r32 (newest)

the "bug" was for h246 streams. Are you able to load any streams with flash player 10?

I am able to watch youtube and some streaming by the newest flash player 10. But I guess when it comes to justin.tv, it just doesn't work...
The first link only provides Windows version of flash player, and I am looking for linux version.
The second link said that the bug is fixed in the newest version of flash player 10. and I am indeed having the newest flash player 10.0.32.18
(I used adobe's test to find out the version)
Thanks for the information tho, I guess at the mean time I can always use flash player 9 first...

I indeed have the latest version of flash player; I checked the version to be 10.0.32.18.
I tried to update firefox to 3.5.5, but to no avail. Apparently my OS (Ubuntu Hardy amd64) have some compatibility problem with installing 32 bit firefox 3.5.5. I googled around and it seemed like no one found any fixed yet, so I guess I can only stick with firefox 3.0.
Maybe I can give a try on Chrome, I'll report back later.
Thanks for the quick reply!

I gave a try on google-chrome on Ubuntu Hardy amd64 bit environment, but still no luck on getting Justin.tv to work with the latest (10.0.32.18) flash player 10. I am thinking this is something wrong with flash player 10.0.32.18 for linux amd64 version...
I guess what I can do is just wait...sigh

you filled out this page?

not sure if Linux is supported, but I guess it would be worth a try.

Note: Justin.tv does not officially support Linux operating systems. Justin.tv is not tested on Linux.

When the latest version of Adobe Flash came out, many of us had problems viewing movies on Justin.tv. I must have installed and uninstalled the flash player 6 times before I ventured to the Adobe forum and discovered it was not me nor my computer that was the problem. There were others in the Justin.tv universe who were also experiencing the same dilemma: audio but no video! (I only had the problem on the Justin.tv site. HULU, YouTube, Fancast and the networks website all worked perfectly. Also, it was not all the channels on Justin, only the ones that stream in H264.)
As stated above a patch was eventually released. (Here I must give credit to Justin.tv members since we were the ones bombarding Adobe's forum with requests for assistance!:D)
Some of us continued to experience problems with the patch until we were instructed to use Adobe's uninstaller to remove all of the previous version of Adobe 10, its Active X (and Shockwave player, for some browsers); reboot; download the patched version onto the desktop; disable security software (except the firewall, my way of doing it); then install the flash player, re-enable security and reboot again.
Also, tonight I searched the Adobe forums and found references to Linux users:
http://forums.adobe.com/search.jspa?resultTypes=DOCUMENT&resultTypes=MESSAGE&resultTypes=COMMUNITY&resultTypes=TASK&resultTypes=PROJECT&resultTypes=SOCIAL_GROUP&resultTypes=COMMENT&peopleEnabled=true&q=adobe+for+linux
(I double checked and yes all of that is one link!)
I hope one of these will be of help since I know a day without Justin.tv is like a day without milk.:(
Cheers
