So i just recently got some good info about how to stream with my Blackmagic intensity. So now that i have VH Mulit Cam running and FME 2.5 my feed is lagging....

I first had the output on a low res so like 320x180 and it almost runs perfectly almost it would still lag and you couldn't watch the stream perfectly. Then i found out that i can put the output res higher so it looks better. And it still does the same lagging but i think alot more.. Plus if i turn on auto adjust both methods drop alot of frames...

So i need some info about what the problem is... is it my PC or my internet company. My internet is from Rogers its 10 MB download and 1MB upload.

My PC is as follows:

Processor- Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.40 Ghz
Motherboard- ASUS P5N-D
Memory - DDR2 2x2GB Ram
Video- NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT

So if its my internet please post a better internet company for GTA area...

If its my PC then please Give me some PC parts from THIS SITE (http://www.canadacomputers.com/) just list them with name and url i would like all parts not just a new CPU or more ram well i could figure that out but new CPU please post Motherboard as well.

Hopefully someone can help me and thankz to all that read this too. Hopefully i can start broadcast quick time

Welcome.

Glad to see that you want to improve your stream. The Blackmagic intensity is an awesome Card once you get all the setting correct.

1.) What codec are you using ? .V90 or .H.264?

2) start streaming and take a look at your task manager. What is your CPU%.
How hard is your CPU working?

3) What RATE are you casting at???

Try 320X240. At 350 Kb/sec . In .H246. @25 FPS

and start bumming up the rate slowly , up too 500. for 1Bm cap. Also do a speedtest to see if that is a "real" speed.

H246 is going to tax your CPU more, but it will use less bandwidth.

your computer specs seem okay, unless your not at 100%

I have that same card, and I know how frustrating it can get... just take your time, make small adjustments and we will figure it out.

If you can explain more information on now your using VH Mulit Cam and blackmagic with FME that would be helpfull

The format that its set at is VP6 i switched over to H.264 sometimes but i don't notice better results.

CPU USAGE PICTURE (http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/8418/capturejfh.jpg)

My res is at 1280x720... i want it at that so my feed is clear.. i had it at 320x180 but it was unclear and kind of watchable but i don't want that.. i want better Quality. Plus i'm running it at 100 Kbps when i took the pics.

Heres a Speedtest with normal usage, computers on and 360 on...

don't know why its 7 but it supposed to be around 9-10

Heres speedtest with streaming active

So hopefully some of these things help ppl help me figure out my situation.

OKay..

So this picture.

is when your not streaming?

only get .81 Mb sec upload? (800kb/sec) (do not even look at the download)

is that correct?

640x480 at 650 kb/sec 24 fps, should not look bad at all.

So i did what you said man and i still can't get a proper stream in FME it says i drop frames all the time Is this because my computer is at 100% all the time? like do u know any one that has a i5 or i7 that doesn't run at 100%?

I have an i7 and this chip:

http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_lookup.php?cpu=Intel+Core2+Quad+Q9550+%40+2.83 GHz

and I am very over 75%

I think your having problems with VH cam. FME should pick up the direct feed.

say with V90. encoding. 640x480 at 500 kb/sec 24 fps....

what about 320x240 at 350kb

I am going to take some screen shots of my settings for the blackmagic card. I will get back to you.
