Just wondering if I can completely disable chat?
I only need to do it on certain games.

I totally agree. My computer barely has the processing power to show the video (and then only if I dont go fullscreen). Any cpu cycles used for chat is just a waste.

I doubt that is caused by your computer cpu.
Its more likely you are broadcasting at a resolution that is running right at the limit of your internet upload speeds capability.

you can HIDE the chat, that might work for you , click on the gear then hide chat

Its 2012 any ability to hide/disable chat for all vistors? Given the typical justin tv viewer age, some programming could get griefers and we dont want to have to moderate chat. Would much rather work on producing better programming.
