hello, i'm new to the forums, as well as somewhat new to broadcasting.

using windows xp for os
dazzle
rca splitter
hardware mixer
desktop mic
using IDT for sound control

now my problems are, i can pick up the sound from the game, but the mic will not pick up as well. i've tried everything.

it's going from the system to a vcr, to the rca splitter, with sound through the mixer, and out to the Line in on the computer. sound is also running through the tv. the video goes from the splitter to the dazzle and to the computer. we just bought this mixer and the adaptor and mic. we have the mic plugged into channel 2. the main sound is plugged into Aux 1. we have a cable running from the output to the line in. using line in as our broadcasting mic.

that is the mixer we have. it's just a cheapo one. i'm not rich :P.

i do repair computers from time to time but this here is a doozy to my head. by all rights it should work the way we got it. idk if it's our program, the jack on the mixer or what. if you have any clues how to help that would be aweeesome!

Edit: Using JTV best, with Mozillla firefox.

thanks!

Line in? Is your audio settings set to line in input on your PC for it to work from the mixer to your PC? Are you not best using the mic input running from your mixer to your PC? I always thought that for audio from mixer to your PC is to use the MIC option rather than line in

Looking from one of the reviews from the product, what jack are you using for the microphone? The review states that the mic don't work in stereo mode, witch is probably you are using a stereo jack for the mic.. I show you what i mean. I have included 2 images. 1 of a stereo jack and 1 of a mono jack. See it maybe a stereo unit. but using stereo jack there is too much stereo, use the mono jacks as the unit will convert it to stereo output anyway.
