a question:
why for the USA, is there only 4 incoming IP connections to the RTMP transcoder servers ? i can never get a good connection from the east coast to the west coast. theres way too much congestion, ping times, packet loss and jitter to the 4 ip's, it can be horrid at times, especially on the weekends when everyone and their mother is broadcasting illegal football games or still frame pictures of the latter with 2K+ viewers. its kind of sad when you have to use diagnostic tools to evaluate which ip address out of the four provides the least jitter, ping time and packet loss. FYI, the connection stats here is a DOCSIS 3 cable modem (normal upstream/downstream signal levels), non asynchronous 30Mbit down and 5Mbit up (consistent), no throttling, packet shaping or capping. i cant even get 1Mbit consistent to any of the four ip's. does anyone know of any rtmp server ip's (besides the four i have from live.justin.tv) that work better ? |
