Default Sponsors for a show

A couple of pals and myself were thinking about doing a live show on the weekends. But cash is a little tight at the moment and we're going to need to deal with some hardware issues before we can start. Could we ask some local businesses to sponsor us, and then either say thank you to "business name" for sponsoring us while we're on the air or putting a text thank you card at the beginning or end of the stream? Or is that a bozo-no-no.

Hi, yes you can have sponsors (you can see that mostly on some popular games channels).

So something along the lines of "This episode brought you by "John Doe Sponsor"" at the beginning or "The preceding show was brought to thanks to the gracious sponsorship of "John Doe Company" showing their logo and or website/contact info would be cool?

As long as you aren't streaming a still image or trying to spam thats fine. There are many casts I have seen that have run their own ads to support their shows.
