Default How to stream videos with Graphical User Interface to justin.tv

This is a tutorial how you can stream videos to the website justin.tv by using a Graphical User Interface + VLC + JTVLC
I have programmed a GUI to make streaming much and much easier. Just follow the steps on the video and you can stream in no time!

Graphical User Interface

Youtube link video:

NOTE: Streaming to justin.tv only works with the vlc version 1.1.9 or below. The current version is 2.0.1 but this doesn't work.

Make sure you have .NET FRAMEWORK 4 installed.

Dear Mini,

The problem has been found and the files are updated. Make sure you have .NET framework 4 installed. Please read the first post and let me know if it worked for you

I did a bit of an analysis and can confirm that you are NOT trying to steal stream keys.

Good to see some legit effort in the community to make things better for everyone.

Dear LifeTimeBLOOD,

It was not my mention to try stealing livekeys from others. That would be just wrong. If you guys don't trust it, try to install wireshark and sniff the output packages.

I put some time of mine to program this graphical user interface. Thats why i hope you guys see that i put some effort to make this application.

So try this application and give your opinion about it! It will really help to improve this application. I can build in a settings for audio etc, but only if there are enough people who wants it.

Cheers

There is nothing to sniff since your not doing anything with sockets.
"That would be just wrong." Well that's the internet for ya. Search Youtube for 'free steam game code' or somth. like that and you will find lots of account stealers there, made in .NET.
One way to gain a lot of trust instantly would be to release the source code here or on Github, or on your own blog (if you have one).

Anyways, my thoughts about the GUI itself:
It's a good GUI which simplifies the process of streaming playlists but there is some refinement and polish that might improve the user experience. For instance, the Forms are resizeable while the content does not scale with the frame (FormBorderStyle should be FixedDialog) and since your shipping with VLC and jtvlc you could just auto-detect the paths to those tools. Also, the GUI state (stuff like max bitrate, output size and framerate) should be saved alongside the account details to reduce clicks needed to (re)start a stream. While we're at it, a note that the account details are saved in plain-text would be nice since that's somewhat of a security consideration.

But all in all: Nice work, hope to see updates and maybe an option to use ffmpeg since that can do converting and streaming to jtv in one app.

Thanks a lot for the tutorial posted)
I have always dreamed of trying myself in streaming but knew little about the stuff)
Now I'm going to use the tips given here in practice.
Let's see how it works

Very nice; but I'm not going to use it with that watermark on my stream.

Hi there,

You can also use your own watermark, by editing the watermark file Or just delete it for no watermark in your stream at all!
