Hello, i got interested to stream with x264 using VLC, but the only difference is that i want to stream from a capture devices.
Tryed to create the playlist including my capture devices there, and it seems to be connected using the package i downloaded from here earlier, but i get an error in process. Here is my Example.bat: Code:
"C:\JustinTV\VLC\vlc.exe" --extraintf http "C:\JustinTV\123.xspf" --sout-keep --loop --sout="#gather:transcode{venc=x264{},vcodec=h264,vb=1200,acodec=aac,ab=128,channels=2,samplerate=48000,audio-sync,deinterlace{deinterlace=linear},threads=4,vfilter=canvas{width=1280,height=720,aspect=16:9}}:duplicate{dst=rtp{dst=127.0.0.1,port=1234,sdp=file:///C:/JustinTV/vlc.sdp}}
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <playlist xmlns="http://xspf.org/ns/0/" xmlns:vlc="http://www.videolan.org/vlc/playlist/ns/0/" version="1"> <title>Playlist</title> <trackList> <track> <location>dshow://</location> <extension application="http://www.videolan.org/vlc/playlist/0"> <vlc:id>0</vlc:id> <vlc:option>dshow-vdev=Dxtory Video 1</vlc:option> <vlc:option>dshow-adev=Стерео микшер (Realtek High Def</vlc:option> <vlc:option>live-caching=300</vlc:option> </extension> </track> </trackList> <extension application="http://www.videolan.org/vlc/playlist/0"> <vlc:item tid="0"/> </extension> </playlist> Code:
Capture failed: The capture device "XSplitBroadcaster" does not support the required parameters. I skip this error and go live. I see "Connected to Wowza successfully" in console. Than i go to my streampage and stream goes marked as "live", but it captures nothing and gives this error: ![]() If someone know what i did wrong i would appreciate any tips. |

I feel slow... I still cant get this to work to save my life, When i put the code in for the output stream and click to stream, it gives me some kind of weird error saying it can not open the VCL encoder. Any suggestions? What did i miss?

Tips# 1 Use VLC version 1.0.5
Tips# 2 replace c:\vlc.sdp with C:\Users\USERNAME\Desktop\videos\vlc.sdp since windows 7 sometimes wont let you write to c drive root directory. I just tried this after all this time and it still works. |

Confirming that it still works. I don't need support for a playlist full of different resolutions/encodings, so I haven't tried that (all my videos are encoded the same).
I also encode my videos prior to streaming with FMLE, so I eliminate the entire "transcode" section of the VLC option in this tutorial. Works great (on Windows 7, no less)! If you can't get basic functionality going, you either haven't read this whole thread, or you're not good at following directions (or maybe you have a Mac Thank you, computelgt - you rock. |
