Default [Suggestion] Chat Client

Now not to knock the chat in its current configuration as i guess it does what it needs to do, what i propose is this, can we have an option to embed any standard web client like mibbit etc that can link to a standard IRC channel, i mean i don't mind the current chat but its at base a limited IRC implementation that doesn't support basic things like queries or standard notice messages which i have needed in the last few days, own3d embeds a simple client that just uses a quakenet server so i think it would be cool for those of as who are slightly more needy users to have the option to use something like that

I did notice recently that some streams had Quakenet as their stream chat service. I would be interested in learning how we do that.

Has any one been able to get the Mibbit client working on their site connecting to the JTV IRC? It works on Mibbits website but for some reason I get it to connect and then it terminates

<iframe width="600" height="380" scrolling="no" frameborder="0"
src="http://widget.mibbit.com/?server=national_news2.jtvirc.com&channel=%23natio nal_news2&promptPass=true"></iframe> The parameters look right but for some reason it terminates with no message.

I even changed the channel = %23 to # and still no luck.

You need to specify the type of authentication you want mibbit to use (server pass instead of the default nickserv).

&authmethod=pass

That was it thank you Bgeorge

Is there a way to save password so user does not have to log in ever time they visit? I know LightIRC has an option for that via cookies just do not see one for Mibbit?

Don't think so.
