login troubles

i have been away for a while and when i came back i couldnt remember my password... so i went through the whole password reset stuff.

but it still wont let me in..so i tried the password reset again...still wont let me in..

so i waited a bit and tried again

it still says : username and password combination incorrect

any ideas?

Maybe your channel has been closed or desactivated ?

hi, i just tried that, i received the mail, followed the link, typed the new password and i can login with the new password so is not a general bug


did you get the email from jtv with the link to the reset form?
if yes, what happens when you type your new password in the two input boxes? you see this message?

right, what is the account you are trying to log in? , checking www.justin.tv/kattaly (goes to twitch.tv/kattaly) looks like closed by the user... is that your account?

i get that message. and ive tried recreating the account since mine isnt found but when i do it says the name is taken and it wont let me use my email because it says its taken by the account that is not found...so idk what to do at this point

and yes that would be the account but i never closed it, i know it was in active for a while but other than that i dont see why it wouldnt let me in since the email is still active for it

couple of things

1) since the update of the site to django a email adrress can be used only once (that is the first step to control trolls, more coming later)

2) when a acount is closed (or tossed by admins/staff) the same name can't be used again to create a "new fresh" account or open the old one again, if like you say you never closed the account then you can email dylan@justin.tv and explain to him what happened, if you can prove that the account was yours then maybe he can open it again
