Default Free software to broadcast a live stream (besides Dyno)

I couldn't find a tutorial for this and trying to do it with VHSC/FMLE and xsplit/FMLE don't work. I want to take a live stream from my desktop and use something to upload it to justin.tv. I know Dyno will do this, but I'm looking for something free. Any rec or ideas?

XSplit is probably the best option and it has a free version. Is there any reason why you say it doesn't work?

all the 3 softwares you name here works fine with jtv, probably is just something on your configuration, what is exactly the error/problem?
i see you say "xsplit/fmle" , you know that if you use xsplit you don't neeed to use fmle at the same time, xsplit can do what fmle does (and more)

less than fme + something else to capture the desktop (that is included in xsplit), ask any gamer at twitch (there is used more than fme)

Yeah i agree, i know a lot of people that game on twitch use xsplit. i use xsplit it takes less resources than fme, but xsplit still takes a lot of resources, if you're using a playlist someone made. which is why they need their own playlist since most people are paying for it. i've used fme with xsplit once though it didn't take up much resources.

XSplit Free or Retail is buggy. I've had nothing but problems with multiple issues since Beta 6 - CR1. Beta 5 was great, low system resources, no disconnects, no audio drops and superb video quality. Since Beta 6 I cannot say that about XSplit. And their tech support is not the greatest.

I use FME with great results. Currently running two cast 24/7 with no problems. One has gone 33 days with out a reboot.
