Dashboard Always Shows 'Offline' for Broadcasters (Me)

When I'm streaming, I have the Daskboard open so I can chat with my viewers. When I want to see how many people are watching my stream in the dashboard, I have to type '/viewers' into the chat box. There is a little label below the stream that shows how many viewers I should have, but it always shows 'Offline'. I see it sometimes when I have my own stream playing, and it changes from 'offline' to the number of people watching, but that uses too much bandwidth, and lags the viewers of my stream (only 1mb upload speed). So to my obvious question.

Would it be possible to make it so I can view my streamer counter, without always having to type /viewers? (The image below might help illustrate my issue better)
