I just tried Quicktime Broadcaster and the video feed quality is very poor. I'm on DSL and the "Check Connection" gave me a bitrate setting at 295 kbps. I've also tried various settings including changing the frame rate with no difference in video quality nor did it even change the frame rate on the feed.
What are other people's experience? Thanks. Harold |

You may want to increase your bandwidth with your ISP to broadcast at a higher bitrate (500 - 700).
Also an HD Camera is nice. I use a Logitech Quickcam Pro for Notebooks. Produces a GREAT picture!

Thanks for the reply. A few things. Unfortunately, Quicktime Broadcaster does not recognize HDV from my Canon HV30. What I don't understand and a bit disappointed with Quicktime Broadcaster is that all things being equal with the connection speed, why is the quality difference so noticeable between ON2 and Quicktime Broadcaster H.264 feeds? See my video clips on justin.tv/b4theroad
Thanks. |
