Default Vhscrcap FME and video size

I am using vhscrcap with fme 3.0 with my hauppauge hdpvr.

in vhscrcap i selected the video with the red rectangle, but when it came up in the broadcast on jtv it wasn't close to the same size or place i chose initially.
I have restarted, and reinstalled FME and vhscrcap many times to resize the area but i cannot get it to change.

if it selects the entire window that the Happauge HD PVR is contained in then use FME to crop the excess picture out so you get just the video

i select only the video portion of the "capture module" window...
FME output video is the same as the hauppauge preview screen,
but the j.tv video is a different size.

how can vhscrcap be inputing one size into FME and another into jtv

I think you are using wrong instance (process) that VHScrcap is controlling. You have to open FME first, and then VHScrcap, but when you are opening VHScrCap, you need to select the line which says something like Flash Media Encoder, and press Select. Then you should be able to control manual selecting and all other options. You have to do this everytime you close VHScrcap or FME.
