Thumbs down Non-stop cast buffering - Would appreciate admin/staff attn.

www.justin.tv/draco355

Again, started casting at 2PM, it's now 3PM, and buffer only rises endlessly. Seems to happen almost every Saturday while other casts have no issues.

2-3 seconds of playback, 2-3 seconds of buffering; upload speed to the server that I'm load-balanced to (you do load balancing, right?) seems to stop any sort of fast upload to it.

Happens w/ both FMLE and Wirecast.

http://www.justin.tv/dcgaming36 has the *same* issue, as do some random others... what is going on? I was looking for any admin/staff in chats, but there's no one around. This is the second Saturday with this crap. Something has to be wrong... feel free to come into the chat and discuss. I'll leave the cast running with a HUGE buffer colelcting. Maybe you can check into the server I'm allocated to... unless it's an inbound bandwidth or processing issue.

Appears to have been fixed. Did an admin actually discover anything by chance? It seemed to have magically gone away a good 10-15 minutes ago now for both of our channels after this post and shouting over on twitter to justintv.

Interesting...

I really doubt they fixed anything, this crap has been going on for at least a month now.
It's really weird how I can cast a few hours without a huge buffer, then cast on another day and have a huge *** buffer on my stream, even though the amount of upload I have far exceeds what I am using(3.5MB up, using 1.4M
I also do a speedtest when the stream is lagging like crazy, and it still shows me having 2 MB upload left when I do a test to San Fransisco.
Yet someone like Peaceful Jay can cast 24/7 without a hitch...interesting, maybe it's because he's American and JTV doesn't like European streamers. time for some EU servers maybe? ;/

Default Non-stop casting lag/buffer, Help needed badly ;/

Okay so...I already made a post in the other topic: (http://community.justin.tv/forums/showthread.php?t=4726)

But I think it's better to make my own topic anyways, maybe someone higher up will actually answer. So, the problem is that the last 2 months have been horrible as far as laggy streams is concerned, apparently the whole streaming aspect of this site is going down the drain as well.
Why is it that I could cast for long times a few months ago (let's say...July) with a decently high bitrate(1500) during WEEKENDS without lag or not much at all, and now I can't even do 900kbps during weekends without an insane server buffer that just keeps rising up and up making the stream unwatchable.

Yet people like PeacefulJay or Swiftor seem to be able to cast whenever they want, at the bitrate they want (Peaceful in particular pushes a LOT more kbps than I do) without lag...ever?

It really feels like European casters are just getting the shaft here, I know someone else whose stream tends to lag a lot nowadays despite using the same settings and internet he did months ago, he's from Europe as well. I'm also gonna asume the other casters in the other topic are from Europe or at least live nowhere near the JTV servers.
So, is there like some kind of anti-non-American shield installed on the servers during weekends or something, cause this stuff has been going on for way too long now. ;/

Also, I can do speedtests while it's lagging to San Fransisco and it'll show me having 2 MB upload free at any time, so the "Lower your bitrate" excuse is total ********, and anything under 1000 kbps makes my stream look like total **** anyways.

Edit1: Guess I'll post my internet specs as well, it's 22MB down and 3.5MB up, this goes to 6MB down and 3MB up when doing a speedtest to San Fransisco. Knowing this, I should have no problems streaming at 1200 kbps, which doesn't even use half of my total UP speed.

I have to agree with you Daedron. I was a able to cast at 500 for video + 56 for audio without any lags or problems. Now I cant even at 400 for video + 56 for audio. It lags. I can cast for an hour, but after that, its unwatchable, server buffer goes up, it starts to lag.

My upload is sufficient for this bitrate.

I'm also from Europe. I know some other European casters had problems too.

I would really like if you can have datacenter for streams in Europe, I would even donate if necessary, I know me and other european casters would be really gratefull.

Thanks.

I can't agree more with this. Please JTV, make us European casters to cast without problems.

Jtv is an awesome site, and it would be even better if we didnt have these problems.

I was thinking about it alot, I tried everything, and I realised it can only be JTV's fault.
Please, fix it, make servers located in europe.

Thanks.

So, just got done with another cast...within the first 15 minutes I get insane lag. I restart my PC and cast again half an hour later, 6 hours without lag.
Then it's 7PM, so about 1 PM American time, and guess what? Insane lag, I left the stream on for an hour but it wouldn't stop, I again did speedtests to SF and it reported I still had 2.6MB upload left.

So, apparentely THIS is normal nowadays: http://img64.imageshack.us/img64/5671/insanebuffer.jpg

Guess I'll have to keep bumping this topic each day, since apparentely no one higher up wants to answer ;/

This is affect me a lot of the time. I can rarely find a point where I can broadcast. On another note I'm trying to broadcast from the UK so it isn't just affected by location.
