I have Turtle Beach x31's that are wireless.
Is there any way I can use the VAC software and broadcast my mic sound as well as game audio? Or do I need a mixer for this no matter what? |

I would see if your pc has 'Stereo Mix' and if it does then use that, however if it doesn't and you can't get it by trying other or newer audio drivers then give VAC a try.
I believe others have said they get VAC to combine the sounds like Stereo Mix does so I believe it will do it, some people here have also said they had problems using VAC so if you have some other audio issue pop up then the VAC may be the cause. |

I guess I will try it before purchasing a mixer.
However, if I plug a mic into my laptop, I would be able to broadcast that directly though with no trouble? |

Yeah, to stream just your mic you just need to make sure that 'mic' is selected in the broadcasters audio drop down list.
I would note that you really need to use a headset and mic combo, if you just use a standard mic and have your external pc speakers or tv audio playing the mic will pick that up and cause a very bad loop and distortion. |

One last question. Would this work to broadcast my mic: http://cgi.ebay.ca/1x4-Headphone-Vol...item4cf27ae521 ? I would be using a Turtle Beach x31 wireless headset. They have like cords plugged into the back of the tv so idk..... Or if not this, the behringer xenyx 502 would work i bet. but thats pretty expensive WITH shipping |

No that one won't work, it only has one input but multiple outputs which is just the oposite of what you want. You want multiple inputs to feed your game console sound, mic, etc. and only have one output.
You need a mixer that has multiple inputs and one output like this - http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-MX40...1173347&sr=8-9 Lots of guys that have discussed mixers seem to like this one - http://www.amazon.com/Behringer-502-...1173347&sr=8-1 |

Set up your PC audio, where it has audio from your Mic coming out of the PC speakers.
From there, since Stereo Mix basically reloops what your hearing on your own PC speakers as an output, setting Stereo Mix will allow your viewers to hear exactly what you are, your game audio and mic audio. Also, if you want to keep using VAC you could set up 2 Audio Repeaters. Audio Repeater 1 has an input from your game audio and an output of Virtual Cable 1. Audio Repeater 2 has an input from your headset mic and an output of Virtual Cable 1. From there you can use Virtual Cable 1 as your audio source in FME and it should broadcast both Game Audio and Mic.

Now I will just need to experiment with it when I buy it. I'm going to have to buy cables for it Im guessing. |
