Default Streaming with Hauppauge HD PVR - no sound being sent

I got my PVR all set up properly thanks to some YouTube videos along with the helpful guide in the tutorials. The problem is this - I can hear the sound on the TV, I can hear the sound on my headset that is connected to the PC.

When checking out the stream, even on completely different PCs, there is no sound. Other users have confirmed there is no sound. It's obviously set up correctly since I hear it from the headphones - can anyone offer some help?

I'm using Win7 64bit with Component cables.

is this a case where you need 'Stereo Mix' enabled in your sound settings on your PC?

I have the latest realtek drivers and it is enabled but no audio appears to be going through it.

goto - control panel, sound, and then click the 'recording' tab.
What is selected as the default device?

Default hello

here is one solution to try. I know I had to use this with my Easy Cap Capture Device, so it might work with yours. Go buy a 10 USD RCA to 3.5 converter. Plug that converter into your Audio Input. When you start your FMLE, instead of using the PVR device (or what ever capture device you are currently using) use the Audio Input selection. Once this is done, change your Audio Input BitRate to 96 kbs. That should fix your problem.

make sure you have the analog version of stereo mix selected in FME, not digital.
