Default Trying to get mic setup to work in xp for broadcast

I use windows xp and Rocketfish HD Webcam Lite.

Someone showed me how to set up the mic in windows xp for my broadcast and when I unplugged it and plugged the webcam back in the mic sound was gone.

I didn't write it down so I can't remember how to setup the mic, but from how I was told to set it up before, it can all be setup in XP.

I've been searching everywhere on how to get the mic set up and I can't figure out how I did it the first time. I have to do something in xp to get it going again.

Any help would be nice. Thanks.

Hi there.

Thanks for your post.

In order to better assist you, I need to know what you are using to broadcast. Are you just clicking the Go Live button on the website? Or a more advanced program?

I look forward to your response.

Just the Go live button, it worked the first time when I had it fixed. I think I found the problem and it was in the webcam program to adjust the mic settings. I haven't tried to cast again to see if it works now, but it should and I tested it again with just the recording of the webcam program and that worked.

I'll try to cast again soon to see if it's fixed, but it should be fixed by now. I just won't know for sure until I cast again to test it out.

Hi there,

Thanks for your response.

From the JTV Broadcaster, click the settings gear on the bottom right. Then Set Up Audio and select your microphone.

It must be detecting the wrong microphone.
