I am trying to begin broadcasting on JTV and got xsplit for it.
However when I try to add my account on xsplit I get a message saying "Your channel is not yet available. Please ensure that you have entered your username correctly and that you have configured your channel properly in the JustinTV website." My password and username are right. There doesn't seem to be anything else I can configure on jtv. Last edited by Vorgier; 05-09-2011 at 05:50 AM. |

Can you please take a screen shot of it so i can see. Sometimes its just a minor issue that can easily be fixed.

Apparently the channel slot should automatically be filled when I enter my username but it doesn't. |

not sure if this is a mistake at my end , but , if the channel where you want to cast is the same as you define in the secreenshot (vorgier) first you have to actually create the jtv account with that name
when i go to the vorgier channel i see "Sorry, we couldn't find that stream." then your channel name should be available in the channel droplist of xsplit |

It's not showing for you because I just closed that account and made a new account since it wasn't working.
You also don't type the channel name as mentioned above. It is supposed to detect the channel and fill it in. Edit: It works with the new channel. But now I can't edit settings for my broadcast in xsplit because for some reason it doesn't see my channel in the "JustinTV Properties" anymore. However I can still broadcast? What a hassle this program is. Last edited by Vorgier; 05-09-2011 at 05:51 AM. |

Interesting.
What is your current account?

I had the same problem as well, but end up fixing it. What solved it was typing in my username with all lowercased letters. When I had the problem I had the first letter capitalized, and Xsplit would not recognize my channel until I lowercased it.

Quote:
type username in lowercase when adding Justin.tv to XSplit. (simple usability test by XSplit would show them developers stupidities like this, but at least there's a workaround) |
