Special Effects for your Broadcast

You can use cool programs like Webcammax , Manycam and Camtwist to add special effects to your broadcast! Check out the links above for the full tutorials of how to use these programs to enhance your broadcast.

WebcamMax

WebcamMax is a tool adding videos, screen, pictures, flash and effects to virtual or real Webcam and broadcast on all messengers. Things you can do with WebcamMax:

  • Transform: apply Distorting Mirror, Fire, Mosaic, Line, Color, Snow or Water to your video
  • Mask: wear all kinds of glasses and hats, or change your hair style, or even pretend to be a famous people
  • Background:Change your background to the place you like
  • Frame:Add a Frame to make your video cooler
  • Emotion:Use smileys you like to express your feeling better
  • Text:Type what you want to say on the video box directly

Manycam

Manycam is another program like WebcamMax but instead this is a completely free program. To use downloadable effects make sure you have downloaded and installed ManyCam 2.2. Older versions of ManyCam cannot add custom effects. Once the effect is downloaded double click the ManyCam effect to open it and use it. Instructions on how to create your own ManyCam Effects are available here. Some effects that you can do with Manycam are:

  • Objects: You can add objects overlays to your video
  • Backgrounds: You can change the background in your video to put yourself anywhere!
  • Facial Accessories: You can add things like: eyeglasses, hair, hats and different faces to yourself
  • Text: You can add text over video

Camtwist

CamTwist is a program for Mac that lets you add special effects into your videos. It allows you to stream files, your desktop, photos and more. It's one of the best free programs for Mac to use with your broadcasting that there is out there. A few of the effects that you can add with camtwist are:

  • iTunes: You can display your current iTunes song
  • Clock: You can add the current time
  • Flickr Set: You can add your Flickr set to your broadcast
  • Text: Either scrolling text, thought bubble or static text
  • Picture-in-Picture: Put a second video source inside of your main video
  • Image Overlay: Place any image over top of your video
