Moobot is a chat bot that moderates chat conversations on TwitchTV

Moobot is not on by default, the channel owner must request MooBot and make it a channel moderator.

Setting up MooBot

MooBot setup is relatively simple.

1. Make sure you have a TwitchTV account.

2. Go to http://www.twitch.tv/moobot.

3. Say in Moobot's chat

!Moobot join

(include the !) 4. Moobot will promply respond, probably telling you it has or is joining your channel.

5. Unless Moobot told you the channel category is not supported (see below), Moobot is now running in silent mode. It can read the chat, but can't do anything as you haven't made it a mod. Go onto your channel, and in your chat type !Moobot - this is to check Moobot is actually in your channel. Once you have confirmed MooBot is in your channel, type

/mod moobot

6. Moobot is now running. By default, MooBot will delete & warn users who post links, type all in uppercase, swear, or a couple of other things. Moobot can also automatically respond to queries you set it to, for example !gamertag might respond with your gamertag.
