Hi There!
My name is Dylan Reichstadt and I am a Justin.tv's Lead Administrator.
My job revolves around the community. There isn't a day in the week that I am not answering emails, reading community tweets, going to different channels, or talking one-on-one with some of our users. I even broadcast every once in awhile!
Early Days
I joined Justin.tv on September 14, 2007. I came here after seeing iJustine's 300 Page AT&T iPhone Bill video, and noticed she had a live channel. I was fascinated with the idea of lifecasting, and gave it a try myself. I climbed to over 3 million hits, and 7,000 fans. I met a wide array of people through my broadcast (some good and some bad). I had some opportunities that I would have never experienced without broadcasting.
After time, my interests began to shift from broadcasting for the website to helping it become a better place. I became involved in community support related tasks around the website, which I still carry to this day. Although I don't broadcast as much, I still have a good time when I do.
Personal Life
I love commercial aviation. I want to some day become a pilot. Quite often you'll see me playing Microsoft Flight Simulator X. People always ask me, "How do you play this? It is so boring." Maybe I am just weird, or maybe that is just the pilot side of me coming out. I would love to take to the skies and experience the beauty.
I go to one of the nation's biggest aviation schools as well (University of North Dakota), but I am a communication major. I also am minoring in computer science and sociology. It is kind of a strange mix of things, but I decided to blend all of my interests in together.
I'm a huge apple fan. From iPhone's to iMac's, I love em! I am also a die-hard Fighting Sioux fan. UND is a huge hockey school, and we aren't too bad either ;) (#1 in the nation last year). You'll often see either my room decked out in Fighting Sioux gear, or at the Ralph Engelstad with season tickets. As we say at games, "Hockey Hockey Hockey! Oy oy oy!"
